Kitchen cabinet painting is an inexpensive way to give your kitchen a facelift, but it’s not a job for the time-strapped or inept.
The cabinets’ had fading veneer and outrageous old hardware, we envisioned a kitchen where the cabinets’ look assumed a more inviting tone — old wood replaced by white surfaces, old bronze hinges scrapped for cool newer hardware. Like many home buyers, much of the “decorating” budget goes into just getting into your home. Painting would be the cheapest way to create a new look in your kitchen.
Our clients didn’t want to spend 15 to 20 thousand on new cabinets, so they asked us to come by and take a look to see what could be done to save them money. We immediately knew we could paint them for a fraction of the costs for new cabinets. So they were able to do much more with the savings by adding a backsplash in the kitchen and granite counter tops… and still had money left!
